The Grubauer Family – Warm Hosts

Warm hospitality is of the utmost importance to us. Everything revolves around the happiness of other people, something which has characterised our lives:

• From 1972 –1976 we worked as development helpers in the Amazon rainforests - entrusted with tasks such as new settlement projects, medical support and work with the Amazon Indians.

We thank the Indians for an insight which became our philosophy, and which determines our daily lives. The Amazon Indians taught us:

Only the "we" creates the warmth that you need in life, hunger makes the most simple meal a feast and the warmth that you greet people with will be returned to you a with a thousand times as much warmth.

• In 1977 we took over the "Tuxertal" guest house from our parents and in the following years renovated it into a comfortable 4 star residence.

Life means change and to keep our hotel changing with the times, we are happy that our children encourage and help us. They support us and our hotel Tuxertal with creativity and their whole hearts …

Of Iris, our genius linguist with multi-tasking and organising talents.
