Natural Ice Palace

A world of incredible ice figures, sparkling ice crystals and mysterious myths.

The Natural Ice Palace is located about 200 m from the glacier bus mountain station 3 (3,250 m). It is a naturally grown glacier chasm which emerged without human influence, and it is separated into different "rooms":

"Entrance hall",
"Firnkegel" gallery with the crystal chamber
"blue chamber" with the ice chapel
actual "ice palace" with perfect ice formations.

40 metres of the Natural Ice Palace have been made accessible in the form of a cave tour. The whole tour has a safety handrail.
